How can I sign up for Travel Protection?
It’s easy! We’ll send you the Terms and Conditions and training materials, which you are required to review before being authorized to sell travel protection to your guests. Once you've agreed to the terms and conditions, you'll be able to activate Travel Protection in the Guesty add-on center.
What is included in the total payment for which the guest is paying a percentage for their Travel Protection plan?
The total payout on which the guest is paying includes accommodation fare, cleaning fee, host channel fee and taxes.
How is Travel Protection billed, and how are payouts made?
You will collect the payment for the coverage along with the payment for the entire reservation. Once a month, Guesty will charge you for the entire fee excluding your commission.
How do I upsell Travel Protection to guests that are booking via an OTA?
You can add the Travel Protection information to your Workflows, and that way it is automatically offered to each guest after they’ve booked. For direct reservations, Travel Protection will be offered as part of the booking process.
Can a guest cancel and get their premium back?
Yes. Guests may cancel their plan and are entitled to a full refund of the premium paid, by giving you a written notice within 15 days from the receipt of the policy (as long as the reservation hasn't checked in yet), provided they have not filed a claim under the plan or departed for their trip.
